The Dying Light 2 1.05 update patch notes are here now that it has finally landed on consoles. The update mainly focus on fixing a range of co-op multiplayer bugs that can cause players to disconnect, as well as crashes, ‘deathloops’ (not the Arkane game), and story blocks. This should be one of many patches that Techland implements to continue to improve the game for players. Here’s what has changed and what has been fixed in the Dying Light 2 1.05 update patch notes.

  • Fixed numerous crashes.
  • Fixed various story blocks.
  • Added additional video settings, including motion and distance blur.
  • Fixed blocks resulting in players ending in a deathloop after a co-op session.
  • Fixed issues with players being unable to sell valuables to vendors.
  • Fixed issues with music streamer mode causing one song to not be muted.
  • Fixed issues with AI being immortal in some rare situations while playing in co-op.
  • Fixed various issues with stealth gameplay in co-op.
  • Fixed various issues when AI could be blocked in geometry.
  • Added various AI visual adjustments.
  • Various balance improvements.
  • Fixed rare issues when players in co-op mode were unable to see dialogue choices.
  • Various performance optimizations.
  • Fixed various situations that could cause infinite black screens.
  • Fixed AI dead body replication in co-op.

Xbox-specific fixes:

  • Enabled 60+FPS VRR mode on Xbox Series X.
PlayStation-specific fixes:
  • Fixed occasional screen flickering on PS5.
  • Fixed infinite loadings.
  • Fixed custom quest music for peers in co-op sessions.

The big fixes for all platforms are to do with Dying Light 2 coop, crashes, story blocks, and endless black screens. Hopefully, these have indeed all been fixed with the 1.05 console update. All platforms have also received extra video settings regarding different blur types. The PC version of Dying Light 2 has already received a couple of smaller updates, although both have fixed similar issues found in the console patch notes.
